Simply said, this powerful, construction-focused software enables growing contractors to track and control job costs and manage their company efficiently and profitably. TCM allows contractors using generic, off-the-shelf, accounting or spreadsheet software to realize all of the benefits of a system designed specifically for construction finances and cost control, without the complexity. The system provides more than 150 reports that can be viewed on-screen or exported to Excel, Word and PDF formats. This flexibility allows contractors to use report information to maximize resources and improve company performance.
TCM provides access to critical information for project managers, estimators, accounting personnel, and executives to obtain accurate and timely information for effective decision-making, while maintaining strict access controls. Adding TCM/Job View to the base package enables project managers to access the job cost information in the company database through an Excel-like interface, without allowing access to sensitive financial information. Adding TCM/Document Manager enables the scanned images of Invoices throughout the system, so you can drill down from the account balance level all the way down to the invoices that support the account balance.
Project managers can monitor subcontractor performance, unit production and labor productivity, and manage jobs from many different aspects. TCM can automatically calculate percentage complete, cost to complete, and projected cost at completion. You can improve accuracy based on actual job conditions by using field reported percentage complete and quantity installed to project cost at completion and job profitability.
The Construction Manager has historically been available with local support, enabling you to deal directly with the company that sold and setup your system, and then provided the training and conversion services to make it work. National support, provided on-site, remotely or over the phone, is also available, and we’ve worked with TCM clients in more than a dozen states.
